Recipe Yield 2 dozen
- 1 cup butter
- 1 cup white sugar
- 1 cup packed brown sugar
- 2 eggs
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 2 teaspoons hot whater
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 cups chocolate chips
Preheat your oven to 175 degrees C (350 degrees F)
Cream together the butter, brown sugar and white sugar until smooth.
Beat in the eggs one at a time, then sitr in the vanilla extract.
Dissolve baking soda in hot water and add to batter along with salt.
Stir in flour and chocolate chips.
Drop by large sponnsfuls onto ungreased pans.
Bake for 10 minutes or until edges are nicely browned.
